Get all the benefits of a pressure cooker with the speediness of a microwave. The heat circulates inside the pot to evenly cook your beans, rice or stew; and a 2.5-qt. capacity means you can prepare a hearty meal for the whole family in minutes. White heavy-gauge plastic. Dishwasher safe. Imported.

I tried it first with brown rice--leaving it in few minutes longer than the flimsy 1 page instruction booklet said. Didn't work. Rice was hard.
Just tried it again, put in more water and more time. It melted a hole in the bottom of the container and the rice was one solid chunk. Luckily I didn't start a fire in the microwave.
Don't waste your time on this plastic container. Tupperware is built better.

Handy for pasta and rice, soups, stew

I cook for one (me), hate messes to clean, this cooker is quite user friendly. Cook up pasta in 10 min with vent closed, few drops of olive oil so pasta doesn't stick, Italian herb seasoning if desired, cooks enough for 4 dinners stored in fridge in same pot, never overflows. 3 minute frozen turkey meatballs and sauce from a jar warmed over pasta before serving.
Not good for brown rice, takes far too long and more water, too much guesswork but perfect for plain white rice, vents open. I add cashews and dried cranberries and more water to soften those along with the rice, dust with curry powder. Never boils over like on stove, 14 min.
Sear chunks of beef in a skillet, then pour in this cooker with variety of vegies, water. Cook your barley or rice in it first before you add your other stew or soup ingredients. Freeze portions in plastic tubs. So easy.
My Chen rice cooker finally cracked and leaked on bottom so I got this as a cheap replacement, I like it better, don't need all those extra parts to wash and held up a couple years so far. I like things I can cook in then store in the fridge. Suits my simple needs just fine.

I bought this for my cousin who had one in the past; however, she raves about how superior this one is. She cooks chicken and almost everything in it! She is a working widow and this helps her to eat well rather than turning to fast food.

This nifty microwave pressure cooker is an everyday necessity in my household. The one I had, bought from some outlet shopping mall 10 ago, finally wore out from daily use. With good care, it will last for years. I had to search to find the item, and when I did, I decided I should get two. (I always need a spare of things that are hard to find.)I may get another one or two as gifts.

I bought this one to cook rice and lentil. when I used it first time I realized that it is no better than a regular microwave safe bowl. The side locks they are showing in the picture are not strong enough to stop vapor leaking. As a result it didn't served the purpose as pressure cooker. I returned this item at target store 3 days after i received it and i lost $ 5.95 (shipping charges).
